In a vision, the Lady pointed to a thick line through the middle of Germany and said, "Europe is divided in two". (Dec 12th 1950). At that point the visionary had to erase the line with a gesture of her hand. Almost forty years later, in 1989, we were witnesses to the fall of the Berlin Wall.
The visionary also saw the first landings of the Americans on the Moon in 1969, 23 years before it actually took place. During this vision, Ida also experienced weightlessness which she described in detail to her spiritual director. (Feb 7th, 1946).
Another time Ida was led in a vision to St Peter's Basillica. She saw all the bishops of the world wearing white miters and the Holy Father with a tiara and a thick book. No-one in the world, least of all the visionary, could have suspected that with the impressive vision on February 11th 1951, she saw the Second Vatican Council, which took place 11 years later.
By far the most convincing proof of Authenticity was given to the visionary by The Lady in the night between 18th and 19th February, 1958. She announced to her that in the beginning of October, which is to say eight months later, Pope Pius X11, who at that time was still in good health, would die. Pope Pius X11 did die, in fact on October 9th 1958 in Castel Gandolfo.
The proof of Authenticity was naturally all the more convincing for her spiritual director, Fr Frehe O.P., for he knew only too well that the day of a persons death is decided and known only to God.
We can easily measure the outstanding importance of the messages of Amsterdam for the Church and world if God allows proofs of its Authenticity to include even a council and the life and death of a holy Pope.
In Akita, Japan, Mary shows her great desire that her coming to Amsterdam not remain hidden. The wonderful events of Akita began very inconspicuously through a single little prayer card of the Lady of All Nations. Akita, therefore, is a fruit of the World Action.
In the sixties, a German priest gave a prayer card of The Lady of All Nations prayer, which had been translated in to Japanese, to a little convent in northern Japan. Following the miraculous healing of the novice mistress through the prayer of the Lady of All Nations, the superior of the cloister wished to express her thankfulness. She commissioned a Buddhist wood-carver to sculpt an exact replica of the Amsterdam image. Thereafter, this statue of the Lady of All Nations, the Coredemptrix, wept tears more than one hundred times, perspired a fragrant perfume, and bled from the wound of the right hand.
